District 76 includes urban, suburban and rural environments, and its diversity is much of its appeal. From downtown Slidell to the suburbs of Pearl River and the Honey Island Swamp, my district is rich in human and natural resources that make it a desirable place to live, work and raise a family and an honor to represent in Baton Rouge.
I am a lifelong resident of this community, and my grandparents lived in both Slidell and Pearl River. Having spent my entire life here, I’ve watched District 76 blossom from a communityof gravel roads and little infrastructure to a thriving community ripe for economic development and opportunity. With the best school system in the state, a low crime rate and a responsive government, District 76 is a place I’m proud to call home.
Even with all our positives, there are still tremendous needs. I’ll continue to work in Baton Rouge for better funding for schools, law enforcement and firefighters; stronger funding for roads and drainage; and flood protection that works.
